So you have a great business. You know how to present and explain how it works, what kind of products or services you’re selling, how it all makes money, and other things, very well. Now, this is all fantastic, but what if we told you there’s more you can do?

When conducting a business or sales presentation, what can really make you stand out is not just fancy buzzwords or good projections, but good and clear visuals are extremely important to have as well. This is simply because, in this day and age, everyone gets bored easily and so they need to be stimulated with more than speech alone. In fact, visuals are becoming *as* important as words in any form of business presentation.

By giving a presentation without some form of visual, there is a huge portion of your audience that you are not actively engaging. That is the portion who are visual learners. According to statistics, 65% of people are visual learners and, in general, images are able to be processed by humans thousands of times faster than text. This translates to visuals allowing even more understanding of exactly what you’re trying to talk about.

There are different types of visuals for different types of people. Here are some of the more popular types of visuals that appeal mostly to everyone:

Presentations with Slide Shows

Everyone knows and has probably used a boring slide show presentation in their business lives. Thankfully with today’s software, you can create very enticing and visually stimulating slideshow presentations. These will ensure your audience is captured to the very end, at which point they will surely applaud to your amazing creativity. Try adding more images and less bullet points altogether. Couple that with a dynamic display (e.g. you moving around the room and engaging with the audience) makes for an extremely memorable presentation.

Videos Describing Your Product

If you want to communicate your product to a very large audience without spending too much money, videos are the way to go. They are easily accessible by anyone and they are a great way to showcase what you want in any way you want right on your website. Videos are the most popular form of media out there, and so this may be the perfect time to take advantage of that fact. Creating short and easy to understand videos about your product or service can go a long way for giving your company a “fresh” look.

INFOBLASTS – Short, Sweet, And To The Point

With social media apps like Snapchat and Vine, more and more people are becoming used to a lot of information being communicated in small portions of time. This is a phenomena we like to call “infoblasting”. Take infographics for example. They are able to convey at least 20 minutes worth of information in about 20 seconds. Anything longer than this and unfortunately people will move on. Keep your audience engaged by engaging them less. It sounds contradictory, but this will undoubtedly improve the effectiveness of your visual presentations.

And there you have it. Be sure to take advantage of visuals for all forms of presentations and marketing strategies, as they will quickly become one of the most powerful tools in your business arsenal. Finding the right balance of words and images will ensure an engaged audience and an overall smoother presentation experience.
